Commission Status: Open!

Looking to get your army ready for the next tournament? You might be hesitant to start; you're strapped for time, or you're not confident in your skills to fulfill your vision; whatever the reason, looking at the pile of boxes and sprues fills you with dread.
That's where I come in. I offer the skills, know-how, and options to take your miniatures from dull, grey plastic to colourful, cinematic forces on the tabletop!

Here's how it works:

I currently offer 1 tier of paint job, which is my Tabletop Standard Slapchop. I may add higher quality tiers in the future depending on my availability. Please fill out the google form with your information and a detailed list of your models, the paint scheme and any additional options or changes you desire!

Process
Cleaning and Assembly

  • Mold line removal
  • Sprue connection removal
  • Wash and rinse for resin models
  • Gap filling (note; this is more for characters, monsters, vehicles or resin kits with noticable gaps; gap-filling every infantry model would add a large amount of time and effort and drive up commission costs)
  • Assembly
  • Optional: Magnetization for vehicle options

Painting

  • Black primer (rattle can or airbrush)
  • Grey overbrush

  • White highlight drybrush

  • Army Painter Speedpaint colours for each material (10+ paints)

  • Transfer application (squad markings, lettering, etc.)

Basing: All bases will have at minimum a texture paint applied with a painted rim in your preferred colour. Additional options are available for additional cost:

  • Basic Base: Texture paint, debris, grass tufts; can be either 3d printed materials or other basic terrain bits

  • Magnetic bases: Sourced from third-party suppliers ie Magnet Baron

  • Toppers and Special Effects: 3D printed toppers can be easily adheard to the tops of bases provided in the model kit. Important note: any printing of 3D printed terrain basing bits will be outsourced, additional charges may apply (purchasing STLs, material cost, etc.)

  • Full Scenic Bases: 3D printed bases designed by a third party. Some bases may have the option for magnet installation.

Finish: Your choice of either matte, satin or gloss spray varnish.

Pricing

Pricing is based on per individual model kit in USD. For example, 1 squad of space marine intercessors is $75 USD MSRP; Cleaning, building, painting and basing would cost $250 USD, not including optional features or shipping & handling. This guide matches the standard laid down in r/BrushforHire, a subreddit dedicated to clients seeking commission painters for their mini painting projects.

Chip was by far the friendliest and most flexible painter I’ve gone through. He took his time painting my Knight, and it’s evident. It’s a centerpiece model now!!

This guy saved me from the guilt of unpainted minis and did so with fantastic grace in the execution of the paint job. Price was fair too.

I asked Chip to paint my new Norn Emissary, and I was picky about my paint scheme. Chip did a great job paint matching so it doesn't look out of place. I also appreciated the communication to ensure I saw progress and had input to how it was going to end up.

Truthfully, I wasn't sure what to expect for the price I paid, but when I saw them for the 1st time I was totally blown away with how good and detailed they were, Now I will only bring my minis to him. 11/10 I absolutely recommend him.
